The Highlander is going to get 84.3 cubic ft. of maximum cargo volume when the second and third row seats are down, while the Pathfinder falls short, providing just 79.5 cubic ft. of maximum cargo room.

The 2020 Highlander comes equipped with a 3.5-Liter V6 engine, which puts out 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The standard 3.5-liter V6 engine found in the 2020 Pathfinder only produces 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque capability.
Both models offer available all-wheel-drive systems, but the Highlander also includes the Multi-terrain Select feature, which allows you to switch drive modes between MUD & SAND, ROCK & DIRT, SNOW, and NORMAL. The Pathfinder does not offer a similar system.
As you can see, both models would be a decent choice for your commutes around Harvey, New Orleans, and Metairie, Louisiana.
However, it’s clear that the Highlander outperforms the Pathfinder in crucial categories, such as interior cabin space and performance features.
